It has been a great pleasure and honour to have had the opportunity to hear so many amazing talks this semester - a positive result of Covid-19 making it easier for both the university and speaker, due to virtual worlds and travel distances not needing to be travelled.
I really enjoyed hearing from Simon Bray and the natural and human way in which he expressed his project work. I was particularly drawn to the immersive collaborative work which he made across Scotland using audio and visual to create a series of landscape images full of evocative emotion.
As a result of the talk Simon got in contact with me through instagram and we had a chat about my own practice and some of the overlaps between our work. These kinds of informal back and forth of ideas and creativity I find invaluable and makes the whole university experience all the richer.
