I wanted the project to be a year long piece of work, enabling me to include all four seasons with the intent to show how the changing seasons can alter our subconscious and also to convey the long term effort of the project.
I often walked past this line of beach trees close to my home and waited patiently for the colours to change before attempting my shoot. In the end I gathered two bin liners full of fallen leaves and scattered them within the frame to give the shoot more of an autumnal feel.
